ANNUAL ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY EVENT
ANNUAL ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY EVENT
Dear Fleet 514, 42
and TSC members and friends;
This year we will
perform our annual “Let’s give something back to the community” activity
on Sunday, April 13, 2008.
Last year 17
volunteers including 2 members of Fleet 42 and 3 members of Tucson
Sailing Club spent 3 hours picking up 92 bags of trash. More people
helping equals fewer trash bags per person, and we all spend less time
doing it..
We will meet at 7 am
at the NW corner of AZ St. Route 86 (Ajo Highway) and S.Camino Verde, MP
164. Park just south of the fire station. Those that wish may
breakfast at the golden arches at Route 86 and Kinney. Traditionally
we have lunch at Tiny’s afterwards, but this year we will be finished
early enough to join our friends of TSC for their picnic and Laser
races at Silverbell Lake for BBQ, refreshments and sailing.
Wear long pants,
long sleeves, boots or sturdy shoes, hat, sunscreen, and carry drinking
water. Blaze orange vests and trash bags will be provided. If you have
not done so prior, please read the attached safety requirements and sign
the waiver on site.
Please RSVP,
887-0524 or
teamkraus@msn.com, so we have a count of how many to expect.

Thanks! Pete Krauss
